The art work of Boise State University graduate student Sue Wilson will be featured in the “Masters of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition” April 1-12 in Gallery One in the Visual Arts Center, located in the Liberal Arts Building.
Wilson’s art work examines memory, personal history and the construction of identity through innovative techniques in polyester plate lithography, a new and non-toxic printmaking method developed by Boise State professor George Roberts. Polyester plate lithography is unique because plates can be imaged with traditional techniques or with the computer, allowing the artist to use new digital imaging processes in their work.
A reception will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, at the gallery. The reception, which is free and open to the public, is an opportunity for people to meet Wilson and ask questions about her art work. Gallery hours are 10 a.m-5 p.m Monday-Friday and noon-5 p.m. Saturday. For more information call Kirsten Furlong at 426-3019.
