Boise State to Reduce Parking Tickets for Limited Time
The parking office at Boise State University is offering partial amnesty to those with outstanding parking violations. For the week of May 13-17 only, unpaid parking tickets will be reduced by half. For instance, a $100 parking ticket would cost only $50.
To take advantage of this offer, tickets must be paid during business hours either in person or by phone at 426-1681. This offer includes all citations — including those accounts referred to an outside collection agency. Payments made by mail will not be credited with the reduced rate.
In the case of checks returned for insufficient funds, the fine will be reinstated for the full amount plus the returned check charge.
The last time a similar policy was offered was about five years ago, and officials do not foresee a similar discount in the near future.
Some free parking will be offered that same week, which is finals week. Free parking will be available at all parking meters, on the fourth level of the Brady Parking Structure, located on Brady Street off University Drive, and in the east stadium lot between Bronco Stadium and Broadway Avenue.
