Public is Invited to 'Daring Physics Demo Show' Aug. 6 at Boise State
CORRECTION: An earlier press release incorrectly stated that the public was invited to a lecture by Nobel Physics Laureate Leon Lederman on Aug. 6 that precedes the “Daring Physics Demo Show.” The lecture with Lederman is open only to members of the American Association of Physics Teachers who are attending a conference on campus. However, the “Daring Physics Demo Show” at 7:15 p.m. is a free public event. The following news release provides details.
Dueling vacuum guns, floating dishes, flying potatoes and hovering high school teachers will take center stage during the “Daring Physics Demo Show” at 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 6 at the Morrison Center Main Hall at Boise State University.
The family-oriented demonstration of science fun is free and the public is invited. The event is presented as part of a weeklong conference of the American Association of Physics Teachers that is expected to bring about 1,200 physics educators from around the world to Boise State. The conference is hosted by Boise State’s physics department.
Free event parking is available at the Morrison Center parking lot for the show.
