STUDENT EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS
Boise State University supervisors are invited to nominate
outstanding student employees for the 2002-2003 Student Employee of the Year
award. April 13-19 is National Student Employment Week, sponsored by the
National Student Employment Association. Boise State currently employs 1,142
student employees.
To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must:
1) have completed or expect to complete six months of
employment in his/her current position (between June 1, 2002 and May 31, 2003);
and
2) be an undergraduate student employee paid by an hourly
rate. Nominees will be acknowledged at a reception hosted by the Career
Center on April 15 during National Student Employment Week.
Nominations must be received by Jan. 31. An employee may
be nominated online at http://career.boisestate.edu/StudentEmployeeOfTheYearWebNominationForm.htm.
Student Employment Week is an ideal time to recognize
student employees on a departmental level for their contributions to a
department. In addition to nominating a student employee for the Employee of the
Year award, easy ways to express thanks may include bringing treats to work,
taking a student employee to lunch, or just saying thanks with words or a card.
