RECEPTION TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR FORUM
WITH DANNY GLOVER
Tickets are still available for a TransAfrica Forum reception with Danny Glover
and Bill Fletcher, at 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, preceding their keynote
address for Boise State University’s Martin Luther King Jr. Human Rights Week.
The reception will be in the Blue Room of The Pavilion. Tickets are $100 and are
available at Select-a-Seat, 426-1766 or www.idahotickets.com.
In addition to meeting Glover and Fletcher, the reception is an opportunity to
support Boise State’s award-winning weeklong event that advances student
efforts to eliminate racism. A selection of light refreshments and beverages
will be offered. Reception attendees will also receive reserved seating at the
keynote address at 8 p.m.
Glover, known for his accomplishments in the entertainment industry, is a human
rights activist who was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations.
He has worked as an advocate for people of African descent worldwide. Fletcher,
as the president of TransAfrica Forum, coordinates a broad network of activists
and researchers in providing policy alternatives and issue analysis in the areas
of economics, health care, politics and national and global policy.
Admission to their keynote address is free, but complimentary tickets are
available at the Student Union information desk and The Pavilion box office.
Tickets are also available at Select-a-Seat outlets for a $1 service charge per
ticket. Seats will be held until 7:45 p.m. for guests with tickets. After 7:45
p.m. guests without tickets will be admitted for remaining seats.
