NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARS

Nominations are being accepted through Feb. 14 for Boise State University Foundation Scholars. Each year one faculty member is named a Foundation Scholar in each of three categories: teaching, research/creative activity, and service. Foundation Scholars receive a certificate of recognition, a monetary award and are honored publicly.

Faculty, staff, students, alumni and members of the community may nominate any member of the faculty who satisfies the following conditions:

1. Currently holds and has held for at least five consecutive years a full-time tenured or tenure-track position at Boise State, with the exception of College of Applied Technology faculty;

2. Has the prospect, interest and intent to continue as a member of the Boise State faculty for at least the next academic year;

3. Has accomplished the recognized teaching, research/creative activity, or service on which the nomination is based while in the employment of Boise State; and

4. Has not previously received the award in the same category.

In order to simplify the nomination process, nominators need only submit a brief statement that includes the name of the person being nominated, the category in which the nomination is being made and the name and signature of the nominator.

Nominations may be submitted in the form of either a short memo to the attention of Stephanie Witt, associate vice president for Academic Affairs, 1910 University Dr., Boise, ID 83713-1000 or by e-mail at switt@boisestate.edu. Nominators will be notified if nominees do not meet the conditions of eligibility.
