BOISE STATE STUDENTS PREPARE FREE EMPLOYEE
HANDBOOKS
Students in Boise State University professor Gundy Kaupins’
human resource management class are seeking companies interested in having them
prepare employee handbooks. The service is free and encompasses new handbooks or
revisions of existing handbooks.
Handbooks will include information on the company’s
mission and history and will cover the following topics: selection procedures,
discipline and work rules, compensation and benefits, health, safety, security,
training and performance appraisal. Each handbook is customized to the
individual company.
A representative from the company must be willing to visit
with the students twice during the semester, for an hour and a half, at 6 p.m.
on Feb. 13 and April 17. Companies can be large or small and can be startups or
well-established firms.
For more information or to sign up for the service,
contact Kaupins at 426-4014 or gkaupins@boisestate.edu.
