COMMUNITY MEMBERS WELCOME AT WORKSHOP WITH VISITING ARTIST

Ohio artist John Balistreri, known for his large-scale ceramic works of art, will present a workshop at Boise State University from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. March 5 and 6 in the Liberal Arts Building, Room 150. Community members are welcome to participate and the fee is $25 for both days. The workshop is free to Boise State students, faculty and staff. Undergraduate or graduate level college credit is also available.

Originally from Denver, Balistreri is an assistant professor at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He will be demonstrating and discussing his artwork and topics within the field of ceramics, incorporating slides in his presentation. The atmosphere will be informal and questions from the audience will be encouraged.

Participants who plan to attend the entire workshop and complete a written assignment may receive one undergraduate or graduate credit through the Boise State Division of Extended Studies. Requirements to sign up for college credit will be explained at the beginning of the workshop on March 5.
