JURIED STUDENT EXHIBITION TO OPEN AT BOISE STATE
UNIVERSITY
The best and brightest studio art students from the Boise
State University art department will be represented in the Juried Student
Exhibition, opening Friday, March 7, in the Visual Arts Center Gallery 1. The
exhibition will continue through April 11.
About 50 pieces will be on display, chosen from over 350
submitted artworks in a variety of media. The jurors are Heather Ferrell,
Associate Curator of Art at the Boise Art Museum, and Robert Winward, Assistant
Professor of Graphic Design at Utah State University.
A reception will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, March 7
at the gallery. Awards will be announced at the reception, which is free and
open to the public. Refreshments will also be provided and there will be free
parking in the Liberal Arts lot the night of the reception.
Admission is free. The Visual Arts Center Gallery 1,
located on the lower level of the Liberal Arts building, is open Monday through
Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, noon-5 p.m. For more information call
