NEW FILIPINO-AMERICAN GROUPS INVITES COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

The Filipino-American Organization, a new group founded by Boise State University students, invites community members, students and anyone interested in Filipino culture to get involved in the organization. The group meets at noon the second Saturday of each month in the Caltaldo Room of the Student Union Building. Lunch is provided. The next meeting is March 8.

The organizations goals are to share Filipino traditions and heritage, integrate Filipino and American cultures and promote education and professional development of Filipino Americans. In addition to monthly meetings, the group has plans for an upcoming craft fair and a cultural celebration in September.

For more information about the organization or to get involved, call club president Evangeline Beaver at 870-2337.
