BRUCE FEILER SPEAKS APRIL 10 AS PART OF
KESSLER-KEENER LECTURE SERIES

Bruce Feiler, author of Abraham: A Journey to the
Heart of Three Faiths and five other critically acclaimed books, will
speak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 10 in the Student Union Jordan
Ballroom at Boise State University as part of the Kessler-Keener “Extraordinary
Witness” Lecture Series.
The Kessler-Keener series brings individuals to
Boise who have significantly impacted the lives of others by their work in
human rights. Feiler’s address is co-sponsored by the Idaho Human Rights
Education Center and Boise State’s Center for Multicultural and
Educational Opportunities. Admission is $8 plus handling fee at
Select-a-Seat.
A graduate of Yale, Feiler has studied at
universities in Osaka and Oslo and holds a master’s degree in
international relations from Cambridge. He has earned numerous awards for
journalism and has written for The New York Times Magazine, the New
Yorker, The Washington Post, Condé Nast Traveler and Gourmet.
An award-winning journalist and speaker, Feiler has
traveled to more than 60 countries on five continents, immersing himself
in different cultures and adventures. He has turned his curiosity into a
career, writing on topics from clowning to Christianity with a sense of
wonder, humor and inquisitiveness.
Most recently he has become known as both
theological tourist and tour guide, exploring Biblical history and its
physical and cultural roots in the recent bestsellers Walking the Bible
and Abraham: A Journey to the Heart of Three Faiths. Abraham has
inspired hundreds of grassroots interfaith discussions around the world.
