BOISE STATE’S BERG, PARKINSON PRESENT MUSIC CONCERT APRIL 5

Baritone Lynn Berg and pianist Del Parkinson, both professors of music at Boise State University, will present an evening of songs by the late 19th century Austrian composer Hugo Wolf. The duo will perform as part of the Faculty Artists Series at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5 in the Morrison Center Recital Hall.

The program consists of several poems by various German poets such as Goethe, Moerike and Eichendorff, set to music. The performance is in commemoration of the centennial of the composer’s death on Feb. 22, 1903. A second recital of Wolf’s songs will be held Oct. 4 of this year.

Tickets are $5 general, $3 seniors and free for students of all ages and Boise State faculty and staff. For more information, contact the department of music at 426-3980.
