GRANT UNION GRADUATE TO PRESENT PAPER AT
INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
Boise State University student Tiffany Boddie, a 1994
graduate of Grant Union High School in John Day, will present an essay, “The
Portrait,” and six poems at the 2003 international conference of the English
honor society Sigma Tau Delta, to be held March 20-23 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Boddie’s writings were selected from a pool of international submissions.
Boddie, a junior majoring in English literature, serves as
secretary of the Boise State English Majors Association and as the undergraduate
representative for the English department on the Student Affairs Committee.
She is the daughter of Teresa Lee and Mark Pearson and
stepdaughter of Stacy Pearson. Boddie lives in Boise.
Boise State is Idaho’s metropolitan university, located
in the state’s population center and capital city. The 17,700-student
university offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate and technical programs in
eight colleges: Applied Technology, Arts and Sciences, Business and Economics,
Education, Engineering, Graduate Studies, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences
and Public Affairs.
