BOISE STATE BRASS QUINTET TO PERFORM CONCERT

The Boise State University Faculty Brass Quintet will
perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13, in the Hemingway Center on the Boise
State campus. Admission is $5 general, $3 seniors and free to students of all
ages and Boise State faculty and staff.
Selections range from the Renaissance period to
contemporary, including transcriptions and original works for brass quintet by
Ewazen, Scheidt, Lutoslawski and Jones. This year the quintet has performed for
more than 500 students at high schools in Idaho and Oregon and for Vice
President Dick Cheney’s visit to Boise.
The Faculty Brass Quintet consists of David Saunders,
horn, Marcellus Brown, trumpet; Brad Peters, trumpet; David Mathie, trombone and
Michael Fischer, tuba.
