FLUTE CONCERTS PRESENTED APRIL 19 AND 28 AT BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY

Flutists of all ages will present an evening of chamber music at 7 p.m. Monday, April 28, in the Morrison Center Recital Hall on the Boise State University campus. This free event is sponsored by the Idaho Flute Society and Boise State University

Three flute choirs will perform — Silverwinds, a middle school flute choir, Flute Flight, a high school choir, and The Happy Wanderers, adult flutists directed by Boise State University flute professor Liana Tyson.

In addition, on Saturday, April 19 the university will host Flute Day 2003. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. flute students of all ages and levels will participate in workshops and master classes. At 1 p.m., world-renowned flute and piccolo soloist Zart Dombourian-Eby will perform in the Morrison Center Recital Hall, a performance made possible by support from the Idaho Commission on the Arts. All events are free except for Dombourian-Eby’s recital, which is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and free for students.

For information on either performance, call 426-3980. For information on the flute workshops, contact Tyson at 426-1217.
