BOISE STATE DANCE PERFORMANCE FEATURES ORIGINAL
CHOREOGRAPHY
Boise State University dance students and faculty will
present an evening of original choreography at 7:30 p.m. May 2 and 3 at the
Morrison Center Stage II. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and
seniors at the door.
The “Dance Dementia” performance includes a wide
variety of dance styles including hip hop, jazz, modern and contemporary ballet
choreographed and performed by Boise State dance students. Musical selections
for their original choreography range from songs by U-2 to Jonatha Brooke and
beyond.
Boise State faculty member Marla Hansen has created a
humorous and eccentric work set to music by St. Germain-Tourist. This dance
evokes images and the energy of a group of tourists on a whirlwind trip in “Anyone’s
Land.”
The Boise State theatre department dance concert is an
entertaining event full of creativity, emotion, comedy and drama and is suitable
for all ages except babies.
