CONCERTO-ARIA CONCERT FEATURES FIVE BOISE STATE
STUDENT WINNERS
Five student winners from Boise State University’s
concerto-aria competition will perform at a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4,
in the Special Events Center at Boise State. Admission is $5 general, $3 seniors
and free to students of all ages and Boise State faculty and staff.
Johann Vargas, a graduate piano student; Jaime Putnam, an
undergraduate piano student; Laura Berg, a violist; Gabriel Sandvik, a
percussionist; and Lindsey Hobart, a trumpeter, will be accompanied by the
University and Chamber orchestras. Boise State music professor and flutist Liana
Tyson will also perform.
The concert is presented by the department of music. For
