BOISE STATE MAKING WAVES WITH AFFORDABLE KAYAK PRACTICE

The pool located in the Boise State University Kinesiology Building (Old Gym) is making waves this April with drop-in kayak pool parties. Each week, Boise State community members can practice their skills and get tips from other kayakers paddling around the pool. Drop-in sessions are from 7 a.m. -9:45 p.m. every Wednesday.

“It’s a good way for people to expose their friends to the sport,” said Geoff Harrison, assistant director of Outdoor Programs.

The fee is $6, which includes a rented boat and equipment, or $4 if personal boats and equipment are used.

Services provided by the Outdoor Center are designed to foster student interest and involvement in Idaho’s excellent outdoor recreational opportunities.
