REGISTRATION OPEN FOR COURSE IN MANDARIN CHINESE AT BOISE STATE

For the first time in Boise State University history, an elementary course in Mandarin Chinese will be offered this summer. The four-credit course runs from June 9-Aug. 3. To register for the course, you must first be admitted to Boise State as a student.

The Mandarin Chinese class (FORLNG 197-030) will meet Mondays-Thursdays from 11:50 a.m.-1:30 p.m., followed by a lab (FORLNG 197-LA) from 1:40-2:10 p.m. in Room 124 of the Math/Geosciences Building. The course carries Area I Core credit.

Gufeng Pu, a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese, will teach the class. Pu will receive her master’s degree in educational technology from Boise State this May. The course is being taught at the request of officials in the College of Business and Economics and the College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs.

For more information on applying at Boise State, call the Admissions Office at 426-1156. To register for the class, visit BroncoWeb at broncoweb.boisestate.edu.
