Here are more details about the contributions of these inaugural award winners.

. David Croft, ’67

Almuni Association past-president Dr. David Croft has kept smiles on the faces of hundreds of Boise State athletes. For more than a decade, Croft, a dentist, has volunteered his professional services to make custom mouth guards for players on Boise State’s football, wrestling and women’s basketball teams. That’s just one of the ways many ways Croft has served the university and community.

After graduating from Boise State in 1967 with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Croft attended dental school at the University of Detroit and completed his studies in 1972. He opened a dentistry practice in Caldwell, which he has maintained for 30 years.

In addition to his role as Alumni Association president from 1975-76, Croft served three terms on the Alumni Association board, served as a board member and president of the Bronco Athletic Association, as a BSU Foundation trustee and member of the Boise State Canyon County Advisory Group.

He has volunteered countless hours to community organizations with a special emphasis on youth activities, including 30 years of assisting with the Caldwell youth rodeos. He also coached and assisted with youth football and served as president of the Idaho State Junior Golf Association.

Croft was on staff at West Valley Hospital from 1972-1995 and on the hospital board from 1986-88.

arshall G. “Marty” Most ,’77, ’86

Since Most became director of the forensics team in 1988, the speech and debate team has won 30 invitational tournament championships, three regional titles, nine Northwest Forensic Conference championships and has never finished lower than third in regional or conference competition. In the past decade, Boise State has always placed among the top 20 teams at the Pi Kappa Delta National Collegiate Forensics tournament, including finishes of sixth in 1993, fifth in 2001, fourth in 1999, and third in 1995 and 2003.
