BOISE STATE FITNESS
PROGRAM GIVES PRIZES
FOR WORKOUTS

Boise State University campus Recreation Center (REC) members can continue to register for the target ACIC Fitness review program through the end of summer semester at the fitness desk in the REC.

The fitness program’s director, Lisa Stuppy, said the goal of the program is to reward small prizes to participants who work out a targeted number of times.

“Some people need a little extrinsic motivation for working out and the prizes, even though they are small, are something to work toward,” she said.

The rewards program will continue until all available prizes have been claimed. Prizes are awarded as participants complete15 and 30 workout sessions of 30 minutes each. Only one workout can be counted for each day.

Workouts are self-monitored with an on-your-honor system, but participants must have their cards stamped at the customer service desk. Initials, dates and workout numbers are required.

“The No. 1 benefit,” said Stuppy, “is renewed motivation or excitement about working out and working toward a goal.”
