The Idaho Center for the Book, an
affiliate of the Library of Congress Center for the Book located
at Boise State University, will host a free exhibition of
calligraphed book works June 3-Aug. 10.
The creative one-of-a-kind books,
crafted by members of the Idaho Inkspots calligraphy guild, will
be on display in the Liberal Arts Building at Boise State.
Guild membership is open to anyone
interested in calligraphy. The group offers a special welcome to
beginners. The Inkspots meet monthly from September to May and
offer lectures, discussions, hands-on demonstrations and practice.
In addition, the Guild sponsors two workshops annually, covering
topics for both beginning and more experienced members.
Instructors are visiting master calligraphers from the United
States and Europe.
