Pianist Kicks Off Boise State Faculty Artist Series Sept. 5

Boise State University professor of music Del Parkinson will open this season’s Faculty Artist Series with a piano recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, in the Morrison Center Recital Hall. The performance will be repeated at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7. Admission is $5 general, $3 seniors and free to all students and Boise State faculty and staff.          Parkinson will perform a program titled “An Evening at the Ballet,” featuring works written for ballet companies by 20th century composers such as Copland (El Salón México), Ravel (Noble and Sentimental Waltzes), de Falla (Ritual Fire Dance) and Prokofiev (Romeo and Juliet). -30- Contact Del Parkinson Music department 208 426-3300 Media Contact Kathleen Craven communications and marketing 208 426-3275 Return to News home
