Students from the Boise State University Theatre Majors
Association present Neil Labute’s “The Shape of Things” at 7:30 p.m. Aug.
21-23 and 27-30, with a preview Aug. 20, at the Morrison Center Stage II.
Tickets are $7 general admission and $5 for students of all ages at the door.
“The Shape of Things” features Christine Burnett as Evelyn,
Dwayne Blackaller as Adam, Liberty Chase as Jenny and Zakk Luff as Phillip.
The production is directed by Boise State theatre arts assistant professor
Michael Baltzell.
The full-length contemporary drama examines the evolving
relationship between the nerdy Adam and the artsy Evelyn, the crumbling
engagement of Adam’s friends Jenny and Philip, and just how far someone might
be willing to go for love. A surprise twist in the plot will keep audience
members guessing as to what’s coming next. “The Shape of Things” was recently
released as a film starring Paul Rudd, Rachel Weisz, Gretchen Mol and
Frederick Weller.
