State Offers Theater/Music Study Tour of New York

Boise State University
music professor Del Parkinson and theatre chair Richard Klautsch will lead an
educational music and theater study tour of New York City March 22-28, 2004.
Parkinson and Klautsch have successfully led more than a dozen previous study
tours to New York City and London. The trip is organized through Boise State’s
Division of Extended Studies.
Participants will attend world-class performances of carefully selected
music and theater productions, including “Hairspray” and “Thoroughly Modern
Millie.” Performances are enriched by informal discussions tailored to
accommodate all levels of interest.
Tour members will also have the opportunity to visit several cultural sites,
including Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty,
Ellis Island, the New York Stock Exchange, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and
backstage at the Metropolitan Opera.
Cost is $2,700, which includes round trip airfare from Boise, six nights’
hotel accommodations in the theater district, tickets to theater and music
performances, admission charges, guided tours, additional sightseeing and
activities, and selected meals.
The first deposit of $700 is due by Oct. 1, $1,000 is due by Nov. 1 and the
final payment is due Dec. 1. For more information or for a complete itinerary,
