Boise
State, ACHD To Upgrade Traffic Control Measures on University Drive

Boise State University and the Ada County Highway District are working
together to ease traffic congestion at the west side of campus on University
Drive.
The university and ACHD plan to install and upgrade three traffic signals at
the intersections of University Drive and Juanita, Chrisway and Brady streets.
The project will include the restriping of the portion of University Drive from
Juanita to Earle streets in order to accommodate a new set of turn lanes and
pedestrian crossings.
The project is expected to begin early next month during evening hours. It
will include the removal of the existing striping and the repainting of the
stripes and crosswalks on University Drive.
Because of the limited width of space available on the street, parallel
parking on University Drive between Earle and Brady streets will be removed.
Parking elsewhere on University Drive will not be affected.
