Boise State Holds Auditions To Select An Opener For David Spade

Boise State University is hosting a comedy contest to select a local comedian to open for stand-up comedian and actor David Spade, who performs at The Pavilion Oct. 9 as part of Homecoming Week.     The “Get Paid, Get Spade” Comedy Contest, sponsored by Student Programs Board, will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 1 in the Special Events Center.  This event is free and open to students and the general public. A panel of judges will select the best comedian to open for Spade and the second place winner will get to perform at the Homecoming Street Festival. Other prizes include cash and tickets to Spade’s performance.   The sign-up deadline for the contest is Sept. 19 and space is limited.
