The community
is invited to view two literary exhibitions on the first floor of
the Liberal Arts Building at Boise State University. Triptych
Odes and Idaho Authors will be on display through the end of
September. Both displays are free and open to the public.
Triptych Odes displays the work of students in English professor
Tom Truskys spring 2003 poetry class. Triptychs, ancient hinged
writing tables consisting of three leaves, normally contain
religious or divine figures. Odes are poems that honor or
commemorate. The Triptych Odes exhibit contains work combining
these two elements.
The Idaho Authors exhibit features works by authors included in
the new Idaho Authors card game produced by the Idaho Center for
the Book, an affiliate of the Library of Congress housed at Boise
State University. The display also shows the editorial and
production process used to create the card game, which is based on
the classic card game Authors, updated and customized for the
Gem State.
