State University celebrates its colors while gearing up for the
Homecoming game this weekend with the theme �Orange You Proud
You�re a Bronco!� Bronco spirit will gallop at full speed Friday,
Oct. 10, at the parade and street festival.
The Homecoming Parade will be downtown along
Idaho Street, starting at Towers Hall at 6:30 p.m. and move
downtown along Idaho Street. Highlights of the parade include the
Boise State Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band, two high
school marching bands, a record number of student organization
floats, the Corvette Club, Boise State President Bob Kustra,
Parade Grand Marshal Vincent Kituku, Alumni Association President
Susan Bates and the Boise Tour Train. The parade is presented by
Student Activities.
Friday is also the Homecoming Street
Festival on the Basque Block on Grove Street between 6th and
Capitol from 5-10 p.m. The Rocci Johnson band will perform from
5-7 p.m. and Da Groove will perform from 8-10 p.m. There will also
be games, prizes and a bounce house for children. The street
festival is presented by Student Programs Board.
The Boise State Broncos play the Tulsa
Hurricanes for the Homecoming Football Game Saturday, Oct. 11, at
Bronco Stadium. Kickoff is 6:05 p.m.
