Sale of Video During Quilt Display To Help AIDS Prevention Efforts
In conjunction with the AIDS Memorial Quilt display at Boise State University Oct. 19-24, information will be available about fundraising for Allies Linked for the Prevention of HIV/AIDS (a.l.p.h.a.). The four quilt panels will be on display from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. in the Student Union Hatch Ballroom; visitor parking is available in the Student Union Parking Lot. Copes of the video �I�m Just Me, Just Like You,� will be available for purchase online at
www.imjustmejustlikeyou.com. The video is a profound and poignant story about a small-town Idaho boy and his family�s reaction to his HIV infection. All proceeds benefit a.l.p.h.a. and are tax deductible. To make a direct donation to a.l.p.h.a. send checks to YFFN a.l.p.h.a. Donation, P.O. Box 768, Boise, ID 83701.The display is in conjunction with the 15th annual STD/AIDS Conference, �Integrating Efforts: Prevention, Care and Education,� held Oct. 23-24 in the Hatch Ballroom. Keynote speakers include Cleve Jones, founder of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt and Terry Tafoya, a Native American storyteller and family therapist.
