Speakers To Discuss Experiences At Graphic Design Conferences

Two Boise State University graphic design professors will speak about their recent experiences at international conferences from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, in the Student Union Hatch Ballroom. The event, sponsored by Entropy, is free and open to the public. Stephanie Bacon will speak about the International Conference on the Future of the Book, which she attended in Cairns, Australia, in April. She will also briefly reprise the slide lecture she contributed to the conference. The lecture features the work of students in the Boise State graphic design program. John Francis will speak about his experience at the VISUALOGUE conference in Nagoya, Japan, in October. He will also discuss his personal feelings about coming face to face with Japanese life and culture. Entropy is an organization offering a creative community that fosters the exchange of ideas, inspiration and camaraderie among design professionals, illustrators and Boise State students.
