The
Women’s Center at Boise State University will hold open auditions
for “The Vagina Monologues” Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21-22.
Women of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities
are encouraged to audition. No acting experience is required, but
those interested must schedule an appointment to audition.
The auditions will be held from 1-4 p.m.
Friday in Hatch C and D ballrooms in the Student Union and from 11
a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in the Jordan A Ballroom in the Student
Union.
“The Vagina Monologues” will be part of the
V-Day 2004 College Campaign, a worldwide movement to stop sexual
violence against women and girls. The Women’s Center’s fourth
annual performance of the Eve Ensler play will be held Feb. 19-21.
The play is based on Ensler’s hundreds of interviews with everyday
women with the goal of educating the community by talking
positively and openly about women’s bodies.
