Boise State Offers A Month Of Fun Activities For Students


Boise State University welcomes students back for the spring semester with a full slate of activities throughout January. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise stated. Call 426-1223 for more information.

Monday, Jan. 12

- Information booths across campus.

Tuesday, Jan. 13

- Welcome Back snacks in the Student Union, 2 p.m.

- Canyon County Campus Welcome Back snacks, 4 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 14

- Boise State Day at the Capitol.

- Master hypnotist CJ Johnson, 7 p.m. in the Student Union Hatch Ballroom.

Thursday, Jan. 15

- Coffee House Concert Series featuring Marcus Eaton, from 5-7 p.m. in the Student Union.

- Canyon County Campus ice cream social, noon-1 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 16

- Family night dinner and a movie. �Freaky Friday,� starring Jamie Lee Curtis and

Lindsay Lohan, rated PG, from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Student Union Lookout Room. Dinner provided for the first 100 guests.

Monday, Jan. 19-Saturday, Jan. 24

- Martin Luther King, Jr./Human Rights Week, for a complete schedule of events for the week visit http://union.boisestate.edu.

Tuesday, Jan. 20

- Chicago�s famed improv group, Second City, at 7 p.m. in the Special Events Center, tickets are $5 Boise State students, faculty and staff, $10 general through Select-a-Seat.

Thursday, Jan. 22

- Coffee House Concert Series featuring Portland�s John Vecchiarelli, from 5-7 p.m. in the Student Union.

Monday, Jan. 26

- Weekly Film Series presents �School of Rock� starring Jack Black and Joan Cusack, rated PG-13, at 7 p.m. in the Special Events Center. Tickets are $1 Boise State students, faculty and staff, $1.50 general; popcorn and soda available for $1.

Tuesday, Jan. 27 & Wednesday, Jan. 28

- �Survival U,� a comedy about the freshman experience, 7 p.m. in the Special Events Center.

Thursday, Jan. 29

- Coffee House Concert Series featuring Dexter Grove, from 5-7 p.m. in the Student Union.
