Boise State University
will hold its 72nd Commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec.
19, at The Pavilion. Doors will open at 9 a.m. No ticket is needed
for family and guests to attend, and parking is free.
Approximately 600 students are expected to attend the ceremony. A
total of 1,360 degrees or certificates will be awarded. The
ceremony will include four large screens that will broadcast the
graduates accepting their degrees so that those sitting farther
away from the stage will be able to see individual graduates up
close.
Those who are handicapped can enter The Pavilion through
entrance 1. Ushers will be available to assist them to the
elevator and to a special seating area on the parquet level.
Neil Kugler and Connie Bradford will receive their doctoral
degrees from the College of Education. The Commencement speaker
will be Karolyn Wright, who is receiving her bachelor of science
degree in health promotions. Graduating music performance major
Misty Taylor will perform a musical benediction.
Following the event, a reception will be held in the Student
Union Jordan Ballroom. Free shuttle buses will be available to
transport guests to and from the Student Union.
Graduates are also invited to attend a welcoming and
congratulation event in the Bronco Gym beginning at 8 a.m.
sponsored by the Boise State Alumni Association. The event
features a continental breakfast, an opportunity for family and
graduate portraits, a live DJ and other booths. For more
