Brandt Foundation To Announce Donation To Boise State

The John and Orah Brandt Foundation will announce a major donation to the Boise State University College of Business and Economics at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at the Brandt Agency, 203 11th Ave. S. in Nampa. Don Brandt, who oversees the trust set up by his parents before his father’s death in 1999, said the announcement carries out his father’s wishes to support and foster a free enterprise capitalistic system. John Brandt was 94 at the time of his death. He began Brandt Agency Real Estate and Insurance in 1937 in Nampa. He was active for many years in the community, serving on the Nampa school board, the real estate association and helping to form the Idaho Real Estate Commission.
