Boise State University students and others have a new resource available to help them cope with questions or concerns regarding depression and other mental health issues. At ulifeline (www.ulifeline.org/portal.asp?edu=bsu), users can get answers to a variety of questions simply and in a non-threatening environment. The page provides access to Boise State Counseling Services and other campus programs.

Current services offered include:

bullet“Go Ask Alice,” which fields about 1,500 questions weekly from college and high school students, parents, teachers and others; questions are answered 24 hours a day on a wide range of mental health subjects.
bulletA mental health and drug information library
bulletThe Duke Diagnostic Psychiatry Screening Program
bulletA drug database resource
bulletSuicide prevention resources
bulletUlifeline was launched by Ron Gibori, whose fraternity brother at the University of Arizona committed suicide in 1998. The program is available at more than 90 colleges and universities.
