Boise State Manager Training Program Starts Feb. 18

The Center for Management Development at Boise State University will offer a five-session training program beginning Feb. 18 designed to help managers learn how to achieve results through other people.

The Manager Training Program is based on the belief that becoming an effective manager is not an event, but a process that takes time and experience. Sessions will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday evenings through March 17. Session topics include: The Manager’s Job – Folklore vs. Fact; Managing Strategically; Managing Relationships; Managing Change; and Becoming a Leader and Managing Your Career.

Roy Glen, a professor of management at Boise State, will be the presenter. Glen has consulted widely with organizations such as Du Pont, Rolls Royce, Unilever, Xerox, Ore-Ida Foods and more. He received his doctorate in organizational behavior from Case Western Reserve University and has taught at the University of Illinois and the Graduate School of Management, Willamette University.

Session fees are $695 per person for the first two attendees from a company and $625 for three or more. Fees include seminar handouts and refreshments.

For more information or to register, call the Boise State Center for Management Development, 208-426-3861.
