Boise State Faculty Art Silent Auction Event Slated For Feb. 13

Boise State University�s Visual Arts Center and art department present  Zero Zero 4: Faculty Art Exhibition  and a simultaneous silent art auction exhibition through Feb. 13. Visitors are invited to bid on selected faculty artworks in the gallery by following posted instructions. A closing reception to celebrate the exhibit and mark the end of the ongoing auction is scheduled from 4:30-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13. Proceeds from the auction, which closes at 8 p.m. that evening, will assist the funding of exhibition programs and visiting artists at Boise State. Free parking will be available in the Liberal Arts parking lot. Twenty-three members of the art department�s full time and adjunct  faculty submitted approximately 60 works of art in diverse media for the exhibition. Exhibiting full time faculty members include: Stephanie Bacon, Laurie Blakeslee, James Blankenship, Jim Budde, Bill Carman, Francis Fox, Heather Hanlon, Larry McNeil, Tudor Mitroi, Kimiko Miyoshi, Cheryl K. Shurtleff, Brent Smith, Anika Smulovitz, John Taye, Ron Taylor and Richard A. Young. Exhibiting adjunct faculty members include: Kirsten M. Furlong, Holly Gilchrist, Alma Gomez, Tara McElhose-Eiguren, Nancy Quinn, Dan Scott and James Talbot.
