National Affiliation
Renewed For Center For The Book At Boise State

|
The Library of Congress
Center for the Book in Washington, D.C., has renewed its
affiliation with the Idaho Center for the Book for another three
years. The Idaho Center for the Book, located on the Boise State
University campus, offers internships in book, video and
newsletter production and display. The Center also coordinates
with and supports the efforts of a variety of state and national
organizations who share its interests and goals.
In a letter informing Center director Tom Trusky of the renewal,
national Center for the Book director John Y. Cole noted the
success of the Idaho Center’s annual “Booker’s Dozen” exhibit of
eccentric and artists’ books and the recently developed “Idaho
Authors!” card game, featuring 11 writers who were born or
maintained residences in Idaho.
“It’s great that these ideas are inspiring projects in other state
centers,” Cole said.
