Boise State Extends
Auditions For "For Colored Girls..."

|
Boise State University
will hold an extra audition for “for colored girls who have
considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf …” from 6-8 p.m. Feb.
11 in the Student Union Forum. Call 426-1223 to reserve an
audition appointment. Free parking is available in the Student
Union visitor’s parking lot on the east side of the building.
Seven women are needed for the production. Those interested in
auditioning should prepare a reading from the script; copies are
available at the Student Activities Office in the Student Union,
at the Idaho Black History Museum at 508 Julia Davis Drive or at
the audition.
The play, a tale of the struggles and triumphs of women of color,
propelled its author, Ntozake Shange, to national and
international success in 1975. It has been performed at many
colleges and universities throughout the world and is a favorite
production during Women’s History Month. This will be the
production’s debut in Idaho.
The show is scheduled for March 10-13. More information is
available at
entertainment.boisestate.edu or by calling 426-1223.
