Spend The Weekend Having Fun and Learning To Hula

Learn the traditional Hawaiian dance the hula this weekend at a hula workshop. This workshop, sponsored by the Boise State University Hui-O-Aloha club, is $25 for adults and $20 for children. Hui-O-Aloha strives to unite Pacific Island students with one another in order to educate and help other cultures to understand Pacific customs and beliefs. Following is a schedule of the demonstrations through the weekend:

Friday, Feb. 20 – Student Union Lookout Room

3:30-4:30 p.m. Registration

4-6 p.m. Auana – women’s section

6-6:55 p.m. Dinner break

7-9 p.m. Kahiko – women’s section

Saturday, Feb. 21 – Student Union Lookout Room

8-10 a.m. Auana – children’s section

10 a.m.-noon Kahiko – children’s section

4-6 p.m. Oli – coed section

6-10 p.m. Craft workshop

Sunday, Feb. 22 – Student Union Hatch Ballroom C and D

8-10 a.m. Auana – men’s section

10 a.m.-noon Kahiko – men’s section

noon-1 p.m. Lunch break

1-4 p.m. Coed and Hawaiian War Chant
