Statewide Juried Art Exhibit
Student Union Art Gallery
May 31- July 30, 2004
Juror: Boise artist
Surel Mitchell won the Idaho Governor’s Art Award for Excellence
in the Visual Arts.
Eligibility: Open to all
Idaho residents. Entries are limited to oil, acrylic, water-based
or mixed media paintings,
or sculpture. Artwork
must be original, and have been completed since Jan. 1, 2001.

Important Dates:
April 9 Postmark deadline for application and slides
April 30 Notification of acceptance
May 27 Works delivered to Student Union Gallery
(mailed or in person)
May 31 Exhibit opens
June 4 Awards reception 5:30-7 p.m.
July 30 Last day of exhibit
August 2 Work is to be picked up or returned by mail.
Entry Procedure:

No entry fee.
Artists should submit 35 mm color slides in a clear plastic
sleeve that best represent the work. Each slide must list on the
front the title, artist, medium, date completed, value, overall
size and the direction the slide is to be shown. |

A one-page resume
should include information about the artist’s vision or a
statement about the piece, plus the artist’s past exhibits,
education and experience. |

The slides and
resume should be mailed along with a self-addressed stamped
envelope with appropriate postage. |

Selections will be
made and artists notified of acceptance by April 30. Slides of
those not accepted will be returned soon thereafter. |

All accepted work
must be have a professional appearance for presentation and be
ready to hang. Brackets and exposed glass edges will not be
hung. |

The gallery reserves
the right to exclude any pieces deemed unsuitable because of
size, content or misrepresentation. |

Shipping is the
responsibility of each participant. |
 |
The Student Union
Gallery retains a 15 percent commission on work sold. |
