Boise State Visiting Professor To Speak On Experiences April 14

Robert V. Bartlett, the first Frank Church Distinguished Professor of Public Policy and Administration at Boise State University, will speak at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in the Student Union Hatch B Ballroom. The speech, “Talking About Teaching: Perspectives From a Visiting Professor,” is free and open to the community.

Bartlett teaches courses in international and comparative environmental policy at Boise State. Previously, he has taught at Texas Tech University, Indiana University, Lincoln University in New Zealand, Trinity College in Ireland and Purdue University.

In addition to his public policy courses, Bartlett regularly teaches a graduate course on college teaching. In all of these teaching contexts, the needs, norms and practices of teaching have been different. His talk will address what can be learned across these and other academic institutions about better facilitation of student learning.
