Boise State Poetry Slam and Open Mic Night April 1

Boise State University students have the opportunity to win cash at a free poetry slam Thursday, April 1. The event will begin with an open mic at 7 p.m. and the poetry slam will begin at 7:30 p.m. Faculty, staff and community guests are encouraged to enter the contest; however only Boise State students are eligible for cash awards. First place will win $150, second place $100 and third place $50. All contestants must register at the door no later than 7:30 p.m. Space is limited to 10 contestants. Poems must be original works between 1-3 minutes in length.
