Boise State Astronomy Club
Invites Public To View 'Tonight Quintet'

Treasure Valley residents are invited to view Jupiter, Mars,
Mercury, Saturn and Venus through powerful telescopes from 8-11
p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at Boise State University. Faculty and
astronomy club members will be on hand to answer questions.
Admission is $2 general, $1 for students of all ages and Boise
State faculty and staff, and free for those 5 and younger.
“The Tonight Quintet,” named after the five
planets that will be visible, is sponsored by the Black Holez,
Boise State’s astronomy club. It will be held on the roof of the
Education Building, located just east of the Morrison Center. Take
the elevator to the seventh floor and the stairs to the roof. Pay
parking is available at the parking structure on Brady Street and
University Drive. The Black Holez will be selling T-shirts at the
event.
Globular clusters, nebulas and galaxies are some of the other
objects in the night sky that will be visible through the
telescopes. If inclement weather forces cancellation of the event,
signs will be posted at the entrance to the Education Building.
The public can also check a recorded message at 426-2356 to find
out if weather has canceled the event.
