Visiting Artist Heidi Schwegler To Speak, Demonstrate At Boise State

Heidi Schwegler, a faculty member at Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland, Ore., will give a free public lecture at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 8, in the Boise State University Student Union Farnsworth Room. Her visit is sponsored by the Boise State art department. Schwegler will also present a cast resin demonstration at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, in Rooms 152 and 157 of the Liberal Arts Building, and will offer critiques of work by undergraduate art students both days. Schwegler works with a variety of materials, including metal, resin, found objects and digital imagery. She earned her MFA in metalsmithing at the University of Oregon and has participated in a variety of national shows.
