Poet Eleni Sikelianos To Give Reading At Boise State April 16


Noted poet Eleni Sikelianos will present a reading of her original poetry at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 16, in the Barnwell Room of the Student Union as part of the Creative Writing MFA Reading Series. The reading is free and open to the public.

Sikelianos is the author of several works including �The Monster Lives of Boys and Girls� (2003), �Earlier Worlds� (2001), �The Book of Tendons� (1997) and �To Speak While Dreaming� (1993). She has also published several chapbooks, including �From Blue Guide� (1999) and �Poetics of the X� (1995). Sikelianos has been the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, a Fulbright Scholarship and two Gertrude Stein Awards for Innovative American Writing. She lives in New York City and teaches Literature for Bard College�s Clemente Program.

The final reading for the spring 2004 semester is Margot Livesey, April 28, in the Hemingway Center. All readings are free and open to the public.
