Editor’s note: Media
representatives are welcome at the signing, which will take
place at noon Wednesday, April 7, in the Student Union Bishop
Barnwell Room.
A formal agreement between Boise State
University’s Canadian Studies Program and the University of
Calgary will allow for more and better student and faculty
exchanges. Michael Blankenship, dean of the College of Social
Sciences and Public Affairs at Boise State, and Stephen Randall,
dean of the College of Social Science at the University of
Calgary, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at an April
7 faculty luncheon at Boise State. The luncheon is part of Canada
Week activities and features a conversation with acting Canadian
Consul General Marvin Wodinsky.
The MOU is meant to encourage a cooperative program involving
students and faculty at both universities, including research and
the exchange of faculty lecturers and educational programs of
interest to both parties. The agreement is for five years and may
be extended.
