will honor seven outstanding students and induct them as charter
members of the National Technical Honor Society in a ceremony at 7

Boise State formed a chapter of the national
honor society this year to honor its highest achieving students.
“We are very proud of these students,” said Larry Barnhardt,
dean of the Selland College of Applied Technology. “They have
demonstrated their ability to excel in our high skills training
programs. We take great pride in their commitment and dedication
to our college and their program of study.”
The following students were nominated by
their instructors and will be inducted: Sean Clay Blakenship,
computer service technology; Brian Coleman, drafting; Joseph
Dryden, electronics; Jennifer Ellsworth, child care; Julia Free,
culinary arts; Dustin Hinkel, broadcasting; and Gerald Starbard,

The National Technical Honor Society was
founded in 1984 to honor student achievement and provide business
and industry with a continuous stream of talented, highly skilled
future employees. Today, the society serves more than 1,600 member
schools and colleges and has 30,000 members each year. For more
