Series of Books Examines Criminal Justice Case Briefs

A set of three books written by Boise State University criminal justice administration chair Craig Hemmens is now available for scholars and others interested in the criminal justice process. Hemmens wrote the books with the assistance of several co-authors with expertise in specific areas.

Each of the three titles in “Criminal Justice Case Briefs” — “Significant Cases in Criminal Procedure,” “Significant Cases in Juvenile Justice” and “Significant Cases in Corrections” — (Roxbury Publishing, $29.95 each) provides a summary and analysis of leading cases in a particular area of criminal justice.

Each book contains four elements: a list of cases grouped by topic, briefs of each case, a short introduction to each topic and an index. In neither true textbook nor casebook form, the books instead contain information that can easily be used as either supplementary text or stand-alone material. The books are intended primarily for undergraduate use.

“Criminal Justice Case Briefs” is available at www.Roxbury.net.
